LandEarly is an AI job-application agent: it reads fresh postings from 17 applicant-tracking systems every hour, tailors a resume and cover letter to each role, and submits while the posting is still new. Job seekers now ask ChatGPT where the openings are and which tools to trust, so Higglo built LandEarly to be the page those answers link to - and tracked AI assistants as a channel of their own. Five months in, AI assistants have sent 5,562 visits, 2.4× organic search, and AI-referred visitors convert at 11.2% against search's 4.7%.
The brief
The category is crowded and the buyer is a job seeker who increasingly starts by asking ChatGPT: where are the openings, which auto-apply tools work, is this one legit? A new product with no search history won't rank in Google for months. The brief was to make LandEarly the page AI assistants link to from launch, and to judge that work on sign-ups and applications rather than mentions.
The results
- 5,562 visits from AI assistants between June 1 and November 6, 2026 - 2.4× organic search (2,280) over the same period. 98% came from ChatGPT; Perplexity, Gemini, Claude, Copilot and Meta AI sent the rest.
- AI visitors convert 2.4× better. Since key events went live on September 8, 11.2% of AI-referred sessions converted, against 4.7% from organic search.
- 327 sign-ups and 583 application starts from AI referrals in that window - 6.8× and 5.8× what organic search produced.
- AI assistants have out-sent organic search every week since August 24, peaking at 2,949 AI visits in September (4× search that month).
Built to be read by assistants
In the first week of the build, LandEarly shipped an llms.txt written for AI assistants rather than humans: plain facts, every feature with its own page, how submission reliability and reply timing are measured, and a "What we never do" section (no fabricated resume content, no reading non-job email, no spamming employers). Those are the answers to the questions people ask an assistant before trusting an agent with their job search.
The robots policy explicitly admits the crawlers that fetch pages for live answers - OAI-SearchBot, ChatGPT-User, Claude and Perplexity - while blocking SEO scrapers that add load and no visibility.
Pages that are the answer
Every one of 61,084 job pages carries JobPosting structured data, so an assistant can read the title, employer, location and pay directly. Around them sit hubs built for the questions job seekers ask: 1,282 location pages, 424 role pages, 187 salary pages, 98 country pages, 58 guides, 13 data-backed job-market reports, and a comparison hub against other auto-apply tools. In total the sitemap lists 65,324 indexable URLs.
The pages assistants actually send people to are the specific ones: 85% of AI-referred visits (4,728 of 5,562) land on an individual job page, which is exactly where a job seeker can apply.
Measured on conversions, not mentions
AI assistants were tracked as their own channel, and sign-up, application-start and checkout key events went live in GA4 on September 8. That turned AI visibility from a vanity count into a channel with a conversion rate - and it is LandEarly's best one: 11.2% of AI-referred sessions convert, against 4.7% from organic search.
What we learned
- For a new brand, first-party referrals are the ground truth. On November 7, 2026, Ahrefs' sample-based AI-citation index counted 5 citations of landearly.com. GA4 recorded thousands of real visits from ChatGPT. Sample-based trackers lag new sites; referral data doesn't.
- ChatGPT is the channel. 98% of AI referrals came from one assistant, so OpenAI's crawlers (OAI-SearchBot, ChatGPT-User) are the ones to never block.
- AI traffic is high-intent. People arrive after asking a specific question, so they convert better than search visitors - here, 2.4× better.
The same playbook drives Verdacert, where AI assistants out-sent organic search 2.8× in October on a Domain Rating of 4, and Raven Health, cited by all six major assistants.
Methodology
All traffic and conversion figures are from LandEarly's Google Analytics 4 property, pulled November 7, 2026, using GA4's default "AI Assistant" and "Organic Search" channel groups. Conversion comparisons start September 8, 2026, the first day key events (sign_up, apply_start, begin_checkout, apply_submit, newsletter_signup) were recorded, so both channels are compared over the same window. Page counts are from landearly.com's live sitemaps on the same date.
Six workstreams, one delivery cadence.
GEO foundation
An llms.txt written for assistants - plain facts, every feature, how reliability is measured, and what LandEarly never does - plus a robots policy that explicitly admits OAI-SearchBot, ChatGPT-User, Claude and Perplexity while blocking SEO scrapers. Shipped in the first week of the build.
Structured data at scale
JobPosting schema on every one of 61,084 job pages, plus Organization, SoftwareApplication, Product, FAQPage and BreadcrumbList markup, so an assistant can read a role's title, employer, location and pay straight from the page.
Answer-shaped pages
Programmatic hubs that answer what job seekers ask an assistant: 1,282 location pages, 424 role pages, 187 salary pages, 98 country pages, 58 guides and 13 data-backed job-market reports.
Comparison & trust
A comparison hub with head-to-head pages against other auto-apply tools, and a trust page with published methodology - the pages assistants pull for "X vs. Y" and "is it legit" questions.
Measurement
AI assistants tracked as their own channel in GA4, with sign-up, application-start and checkout key events live from September 8, 2026 - so AI visibility is judged on conversions, not mentions.
Product & distribution
The web app, an iOS app, and Chrome and Edge extensions, fed by hourly ingest from 17 applicant-tracking systems including Greenhouse, Lever, Ashby, Workable and Workday.
